Why we called this Bichota?

Bichota is a Puerto Rican slang term that means "big shot" in English. It's an informal way to describe someone who is important or influential, usually due to their economic or political position. The term is often used in the context of drug selling, and typically refers to a man. However, Karol G gave the word a new meaning, and uses it to describe someone who feels sexy, daring, strong, and empowered. She also says it can translate to personal motivation and self-confidence. 

Karol G coined the term bichota as an alternative to bichote, and to create an empowering embodiment for all people, including women. The song "Bichota" by Karol G, released in 2020, has inspired a generation of Latinas and femme-presenting people to embrace their authentic selves. The song's music video has over one billion views on YouTube.
